In this video, I talk a little bit about early Christian Philosophy and the the fallacious premises upon which the ontological and cosmological arguments rely. My underlying message is that these arguments need not be taken seriously given that they are based upon blatantly assumed premises, and weak ones at that. I am consistently surprised that so many deem these arguments as infallibe, or more so, exempt from ‘common logic’.

Suggested reading: Descarte’s ‘Meditations on First Philosophy’. This work is extremely important and has influenced a vast range of modern thinkers, philosophers, et cetera. In the case that you are not inclined to read this book, I would highly suggest that you read a little bit about it on the internet or in an overview of philosophy.

I was very nervous about uploading this video for a number of reasons, of them being the vulnerability I am placing myself in by doing so. It must be clarified that the meanings of the majority of the terms I am using adhere strictly to the generally accepted definition-an important point in regards to the material of this video. I am fully aware of the paradoxical ways of such arguments, since an argument, in itself, can be perceived as a subjective concept. Also, I did indeed use a script that I wrote and planned before making this video, and I apologize for any lack of ‘emotion’, if you will, in my recitation. Thank you for watching.
